About Us
Since 1953 our Lions Club has served the Monmouth Community by providing
eyeglass and hearing aid service, Sponsoring Scholarships to Monmouth Academy
Graduates, Delivering Meals on Wheels, We hold an annual Thanksgiving Day Meal
for Senior Citizens, We Support Community Suppers, Heating Assistance, Camp
Sunshine, Diabetes Research, Annual Student Speak out Competition, The
Environment, Monmouth Church, RCAM and many other organizations and activities
in and around Monmouth.
The Lions Award Three (3) $500 Scholarships annually to Monmouth Academy Graduates
The Monmouth Lions were instrumental in raising money and supporting the
building of the Russel Medical Center.
All the money to accomplish these things comes from our local Lions Fund
raisers. The Annual Lions Yard sale, the Annual Lions Hunters Breakfast and Gun
Raffle, the Annual Bingo at the Monmouth Fair, the Annual Lucky Days Calendar
Raffle, and other Donations and fund raisers. The People of Monmouth are the
primary Supporters and Beneficiaries of these Efforts.
